Caren has spent the last 30 years of her career devoted to helping others as a professional coach, counselor and educator. Caren holds a Master of Science in Counseling Education from Hofstra University, Long Island, New York and a Bachelor of Music Education from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, Wheaton, Illinois. Caren holds a New York State Mental Health Counseling licensure, School Counseling certification, and Mediation Counseling certification.
Caren has worked for the State University of New York as an adjunct professor for most of her professional career. She was the keynote speaker for the New York State Judicial Association and has presented numerous conferences related to mental health issues (Anxiety, Depression/ Bipolar, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Suicide Ideation and Assessment, Gender Dysphoria, and Self-Esteem). She has written crisis intervention protocol procedures, facilitated a variety of support groups, and has worked in substance abuse rehabilitation centers with dually diagnosed individuals. Caren was the co-founded and speaker of Press On Ministries, where she traveled the north east speaking at various women’s conferences. She was the recipient of the International Christian Leadership Conference Scholarship, which brought her to study in Jerusalem, Israel. She has created and taught a peer counseling curriculum/program for adults, lead a Bible study for incarcerated women, and created a theology club for women. Her compassionate and caring demeanor, together with her analytical abilities to discern and problem solve, make her a highly competent life coach in whom clients can trust and depend. |
